Just as the 10K is great for any runner, whether you’re competitive and fast, in the mood for a PB or quite new to running and just want to get around, the Cambridge Cambourne 10K Relay is another accessible option for friends and family. There’ll be a big clock at the changeover point and the team’s total time will be recorded by a chip in the baton.

Please note, relay teams are responsible for organising all their own transit between the changeover point, the finish and the start. The complete 10K Relay route is identical to the main 10K route. We will be publishing the route map shortly so you can see clearly the changeover point.

Rules, including minimum runner age, remain the same for the Relay as for the 10K.

Key details:

Distance: Total distance of 10km – 2 legs of 5K in a 2-person team

Start time: 11am

Timing: The total team time is chip timed (the chip is in the baton). There will be a visible clock at the changeover but no chip time at the halfway point.

  • First aid facilities
  • Marshalled course
  • Water stations
  • Only one application per person will be accepted
  • No dogs or buggies
  • Minimum age 15 on race day
  • Under-18s must have the permission of a parent or guardian.

Runner A and Runner B: Please decide who is the first leg runner, A, and second leg runner, B. Please wear your numbers according to the leg you will be running, A or B. The numbers will be different so that we can make sure everyone is in the right place. There are goody bags for the ‘A’s at the changeover point when you finish your leg. ‘B’s can pick up their goody bag at the end.
