Firstly, well done to all of you that virtually ran either the 10k or fun run over the weekend of the scheduled events. I was delighted to send out 50 medals to runners and was great to get so much positive feedback and will be delighted to see you all back again in 2021.
Also a big thank you to the vast majority that either offered to defer their space or donate their entry fee back to the organisation. As a charity this was vital to ensure we could cover this years losses, but also guarantee that we could afford to carry on with the event next year. With your help we are able to start thinking about planning next year and look to be able to pass on any donations to our local charities and supporters and into the trust funds to support local athletes and hardship funds in 2021. I am also grateful to our race day providers for their support in deferring some of the costs of set up to next year.
We are now going to close any refund applications on 30th April 2020. You will understand we have to publish our accounts and so a cut off is required. Of course any other outstanding entries for 2020 will be automatically deferred to 2021.
